Stuffed hot peppers

 

The round hot pepper is cultivated in the Southeast of Bari. We obtain the final product by manually digging the round hot peppers. Then, we stuff them with a tasty filling that contains tuna, anchovies, capers, parsley, garlic and aromatic herbs. The variant with no tuna contains anchovies, capers and parsley. The fresh hot peppers are handcrafted and, in this way, we get a consistent product that one can enjoy as such, with meat or game dishes, on pizza and focaccia. It is indicated in dinners with friends and in combination with a good "primitive" wine. The taste is very spicy, so one must pay attention to the quantity. Hot pepper contains vitamins: B1, B2, C, PP, provitamin A. Minerals: magnesium, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, calcium, iodine. Groups with allergens risk: those intolerants to fish and seafood.
