Artichokes with stem
Typical Apulian product, the artichoke (Cynara scolymus) is a plant that is well adapted to our area. ONLY the best artichoke is picked and processed within a day. Then, we cook them in water and white wine vinegar, in order to keep excellent organoleptic characteristics. We freshly process the artichoke with the tenderest part of the stem for those who likes this part rich in fiber and vitamins. It is used to decorate dishes and appetizer. In the leaves, an active ingredient plays a mild therapeutic action for small liver and kidney diseases. They contain vitamins B1, B2, PP, C, provitamin A, E. Minerals: calcium, phosphorus, iron, sodium, potassium, copper, and zinc. Contraindications: use with caution for those who are diabetics and in presence of diarrheal phenomena.
