Turnip tops

Turnip tops are a variety of broccoli that is typical from the southeast of Bari. They are cultivated in our company without the use of pesticides and fertilizers. It is a vegetable very rich in flavour, vitamins, minerals and cellulose, able to stimulate a balanced intestinal peristalsis. Its use in cooking is extremely versatile: excellent as a starter, it is perfect with any kind of pasta (famous is the pairing with the “Orecchiette”). They contain vitamins B1, B2, PP, C and provitamin A. Minerals: calcium, phosphorus, iron, sodium, potassium, magnesium and zinc. Its use should be limited in the presence of intestinal inflammation.
